accountability"
Judging
ourselves keeps our obedience in check. Just like the government
has a system of checks and balances within its operations, we should
have a system of checks and balances to ensure we are living righteously
in God’s eyes; to evaluate weather or not we are in the will
of God and are on the path to eternal life. We must judge ourselves
so that we do not stray from the narrow path that leads to eternal
life:
“Because strait is the
gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few
there be that find it.”
(Matthew 7:14)
[#22] "Financial
giving & deception: Part 1"
In Part
one of this series I want to discuss financial giving. First however,
let’s get our minds around this truth: all of mankind is blessed,
both male and female, sinners and righteous, because of God. Even
those who do not believe in God or that He exists are blessed by
God: “for he maketh his sun to
rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and
on the unjust.” (Matthew 5:45) What I am getting
at here is that we owe God. We owe God big time.
[#23] "Financial
giving & deception: Part 2"
Satan is
very aware of the power of God and His Word. He knows that God’s
Word will accomplish what it says. Isaiah 55:11 says: “So
shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return
unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it
shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Satan
has had first hand experience of God’s Word triumphing over
him time and time and time again. He knows God’s Word doesn’t
return void. In other words, the only way Satan can keep you from
the abundant blessings of God is by keeping you deceived and disobedient
to God’s Word.
[#24] "Only
Jesus can save us"
It is a
common belief in the world we live right now that many religions
can lead to the same God. To many in the world today, any other view
in considered a fundamentalist, extremist view. It is said that those
who believe there is only one way to God and heaven are narrow minded,
and intolerant. So is there only one way to God? According to the
Bible there is no other way to God but through Jesus Christ. I agree
with the Bible.
[#25] "Closet
Christians"
Right now,
today, it’s time to get out of your personal comfort zone,
and let the world know that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life,
He is risen, He is King, He is coming soon, you love Him with all
your heart and you’re not afraid or ashamed to show it! You
fight your flesh and declare to yourself: “I’m not ashamed
of Jesus, I love Him and I’m not afraid to say it or show it!"
[#26] "Tests,
trials & tribulations"
Tribulation
will work and develop your patience. Patience develops character
and increases experience. Experience, in turn brings hope. Trials
and tribulations will come, however rejoice in them. Do not rejoice “because
of”
trials and tribulations but rejoice “in” or “while”
enduring trials and tribulations. Keep faith and understand
that God’s Word triumphs over everything. Stand firm
in faith and take comfort in knowing that hope will not disappoint
us because God has poured out His love into our hearts through
the Holy Spirit, which He has given us.

of smoke" (Health
Canada)
Satan has
used the ungodly and sadly many who call themselves godly in this
world to promote and sustain smoking in our culture. Children are
now raised in a society where cigarettes are readily available to
them at startling ages. Schools do nothing to enforce the legal age
of smoking on their property. The government does nothing to enforce
underage smoking, only underage buying. Satan has deceivingly kept
smoking from being seen as a major issue in the Church today. We
have let it slip under our radar for too many years now. We must
fight back and expose smoking for what is really is; sin.
[#28] "Analyzing
our enemy: temptation"
Satan’s
tactics have never changed. Today he uses the same tricks as he did
2000 years ago. Satan doesn’t have anything new, he can’t
have anything new. The methods which he uses might seem new, but
he’s just trying to disguise the same old tricks and traps
in new packaging. Temptation through deception has always been Satan’s
ultimate weapon. It’s Satan’s ultimate weapon because
he is the greatest liar that has ever existed. Temptation requires
and works through deception, and that is the devils most developed
department of evil.
[#29] "I
am free! I am delivered! I am free!"
The Word
of God must be the foundation in the life of a believer. The Word
is the foundation, and faith is the activator for success. Faith
activates and brings to pass the promises of God. Yes, we are delivered
and we are free, however to exercise our freedom and deliverance
in Christ we must exercise our faith. Remember “faith
cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
(Romans 10:17) You obtain faith by hearing and reading the
Word. You must continually exercise your faith.
[#30] "Love:
the key to all"
Loving
God is not just reading the Bible every now and then. Loving God
is not being able to quote scripture. Going to church every Sunday
is not “loving God” like many believe. Loving God is
keeping His commandments. His commandments include reading the scriptures
and going to church, but aren’t only limited to those two acts.
God has many commandments and He expects a lot from us. Ultimately,
keeping God’s commandments means staying away from sin
